YOUR 5TH ANNIVERSARY PARTY FREE
Your Wedding Day Was A Whirl. The Honeymoon Was A Dream. Let's Make Your 5th Anniversary A Celebration of everlasting Love.
Observing wedding anniversaries, has for centuries been a method for wedded couples to celebrate their Love for each other. Celebrating your Anniversary helps you to bond and rediscover the reasons why you chose to marry each other in the first place, it is a special time to reflect upon their marriage it's growth and how it's matured and remember the vows they made to one another.
The early Wedding Anniversaries 1-4 are traditionally celebrated by the couple alone, or with friends, children and other family members. The celebration of an anniversary strengthens a couple's marriage and can help foster love and unity within the family.
Despite the existence of anniversaries long ago, there aren't any long-standing traditions or strict rules concerning the way anniversaries should or should not be celebrated. Every couple is completely free to choose how they would like to honor their wedding day. If a friend or family member decides to throw a surprise anniversary party, it is important to consider whether the couple would really enjoy celebrating their anniversary in that way. If there is any hesitation about this, it is best left to the couple to arrange their anniversary.
Typically, couples observe earlier wedding anniversaries informally, making their own plans to celebrate alone over dinner, take a weekend getaway, or simply exchange small gifts. The first wedding anniversary is where the saved cake-top and bottle of champagne from the reception is shared in memory of the event. As the number of years together increases, however, the occasion becomes more and more significant.
The fifth anniversary is when many couples enjoy honoring the day they were married with a party. Family, close friends, members of the wedding party and church members are generally among those invited. Depending on the size and formality of the occasion, the celebrations may be held at home, at a restaurant, club, church, home of a friend or family member, or any other venue the pair enjoys. Invitations can be mailed, e-mailed, printed, handwritten, or extended to guests over the telephone.
The form of the celebration can vary widely as well. It is acceptable to organize a service where the pair renews their vows; plan a reception, hold a brunch, luncheon, backyard barbecue, dinner, tea, or any other type of gathering that the couple wishes. The time of day should also be based on the couple's preference.
Anniversaries are considered movable celebrations. If you are planning a party for yourself or someone else, it isn't necessary to hold the event on the exact wedding anniversary date. It is perfectly acceptable to hold it during a period of time that would not conflict with other traditional weekend activities. The most popular day for wedding anniversary celebrations is Friday evening.

Here is a quick reference of the gifts traditionally given and some more recent changes to the tradition.
