This is not the first for Rader, who has been recognized locally and
internationally for his willingness to take the time from his job and business
to contribute to the betterment of our community and the needs of the people,
therein. When asked what he thought of the nomination and the award, Rader
replied, "It's an honor to be officially recognized by your peers in this
manner.
-My first real DJ gig was actually an event fundraiser back in 1977, so I find
my career a little overwhelming, to lead me to where I am today. I'm probably
the only DJ in the country to lose my home, while spinning at a Shakeys Pizza
parlor. Things were tough then and living in my car had some disadvantages,
especially after being towed away.
With endorsements from such companies and manufacturers as Cadence Cases, PCDJ, Gizmo Labs and Visiosonic, I've
been given the opportunity to demonstrate my mixing abilities to the national
and international audience of entertainers and the future of Disc Jockeying. I
hope that those who have come to know me and become my friends will also do
everything they can for the betterment of their communities. I can't take full
credit for my actions that led to my nomination. My wife, Laurie, has been just
as involved with as much sacrifice in my long hours of donated time, crucial to
my development, as well as, the success in the many charity endeavors. The
support of my family is the backbone of my success and they deserve just as much
credit as I do, in receiving this honor. Whether they realize it, or not, all my
performances are a direct reflection, of their love and support."

onto the national and international spotlight. When asked about the "Humanitarian Award", as a DJ, Rader says: "It is a great honor being
recognized by your peers. I hope that I'm able to touch the hearts of a few in
attendance, during the awards show in Vegas and they, also, return home with a
new found direction, to contribute to the betterment of their community, also
raising the bar of awareness, that we are more then a bunch of partying weekend
